FATBOYBAKES is a hobby baker, home made unfinished looking rustic cakes.  Apologies, no novelty or beautifully decorated cakes. (No Skill for that unfortunately).

Something like the above would be good.

1.  No need to tell me who is collecting the cake.  Just make sure you mention Orderer's Name when collecting.
2.  Please do not refer to an ingredient when ordering a cake.  eg, Don't say Peanut Butter Cake, because there are at least two varieties of "Peanut Butter" cakes.
3.  For cheese cakes, please specify "Baked" or "Chilled".  Which is better? It's very subjective, Baked is cakier, and Chilled is creamier, set with gelatine.

Brandy Truffle, which as the name implies, contains brandy.  Imagine a chocolate truffle ball, but a whole cake instead.  Flourless, so suitable for gluten intolerance.  A Virgin option is available.

BLACKFOREST CAKE

Blackforest - Such a retro cake making a comeback in a big way.  That combination of chocolate cake and cherries, with a generous tipple seems to have propelled this into the best seller category in recent times.  To those who love the plump dark canned cherries, there is an option for double quantity of cherries, whereby you're basically only charged the cost price of the extra can.

RED VELVET CAKE

Red Velvet Cake, with Cream Cheese Layers.  Popularized in the last 10 years or so, this version contains beetroot and cocoa imparting an earthy taste that is not everyone's cup of tea.  If you are expecting a red coloured sponge, do not order this.

The figgy date cheesecake is an inspired combination if I may say so myself.  Dried figs, and dried dates, topped with caramel and hawaiian coconut.  Boozey version optional, the fruit are soaked in rum, and imparts a wonderful flavour and oomph.

Banana Walnut - Simple, but classic, recipe from my Godma, which has prevailed through the years.  Topped with cream cheese.

The ever popular Kiwi (as in from New Zealand) dessert, named after the famous ballerina, Anna Pavlova, meringue discs (at least for this version) sandwiched with fresh whipping cream, topped with strawberries and blueberries.

Bananarumma, (not the band who sang Guilty of Love in the First Degree), layers of sponge with caramel, banana, cream and rum.  The virgin version, Banaramel, omits the sailor's tipple.

STICKY DATE CAKE

Naturally a sweet cake, by virtue of the amount of dates that a blitzed into the batter.  Almost no added sugar.  It's served with an optional side tub of Salty Caramel.  Unfortunately I cannot pour the caramel on the cake and it would create a monumental mess, so best to serve it separately.  Alternatively, top with a cream cheese caramel topping.

The Durian Cheesecake has been a bestseller since day 1, and needs no introduction.  The durian pulp used is supposed to be D24 (that's what the supplier says).

To avoid confusion, as people are wont to just say "durian cake", the Aromatherapy is made up of layers of plain sponge cake (I try not to use essence, so I leave the cake plain), but sandwiching layers of Durian Pulp and Cream.

The Mactart - no relation of the Macbook or any apple product, but salty caramel, macadamias in a chocolate pastry tart shell, approx 9" diameter.

Salted Caramel Banana Tart, a variation of the old Banoffee Pie, except using the more trendy Salty Caramel rather than toffee which was essentially condensed milk boiled in a can for hours.

Rum and Raisin Tart, inspired by a Martha Steward recipe, copious rum soaked raisins in a basic baked custard filling.

APPLE PIE

Old fashion no frills Apple Pie, made with fresh Granny Smiths which are stewed in cinnamon and sugar.  Optional raisins, since not everyone likes them.  Unless specified, no raisins will be present.

Almost like the pie, but topped with crumble which contains oats and pumpkin seeds, for a semblance of healthiness.  Apples stewed in cinnamon and sugar.

CHICKEN PIE

Over the years, this has become a firm favourite, and almost a signature dish, served at dinner parties and tea parties.  Contains a lot of chicken, and fresh button mushrooms.  And yes, the puff pastry is store bought I'm afraid. Approx 8" diameter, served in a disposable aluminium pie tin.
